Mountain Getaway

On New Years Eve our little fam set out on a mountain getaway. And as another month begins I needed to go through these images one by one, as reminders of the incredible blessings I have been given this side of heaven. Jack already looks a foot taller and Kate has grown into a whole new little girl in the short span of 60days since these were taken. THIS is why I treasure photographs. They take you back and they demand thankfulness for what The Lord has allowed you to see, do, be in moments passed. What a gift this life is! Help me never take one second for granted.

First week of 2024!
There was no better way to spend it than in the smallest town along the greenway wrapped in the love of my family.
I love them so much.

Memory Highlights:
-Jack finished his 4th Harry Potter book on the long drive up
-Woke up to snow on New Year’s Day!
-Kate experiencing snow for the first time
-The peaceful noise of the bubbling brook alongside our cabin
-Saw our friends who we dearly missed
-The General Store in all it’s glory
-Our most played song - “don’t throw toys in the potty”
-Cookout milkshakes in freezing weather!
-Jack reppin’ his NFL team solo (before they won the Super Bowl)
-So many spontaneous naps
-Watched movies on VHS
-Realized how pretentious we actually are about coffee
-Walked around blowing rock where we had our first babymoon
-No cell reception or wifi for a week
