JOYFULLY EXPECTANT

As we emerge from a year full darkness and loss, we carry with us embedded reminders of just how fragile life truly is and that it is never guaranteed no matter how new or expectant.

A positive pregnancy test hit much different this time around having walked alongside families struggling from miscarriages, infertility, health complications and so much heartache. There is a heaviness that doesn’t dull the more life lived and the more suffering witnessed. But the one thing that fixes our eyes back to a joyful expectancy through all of life’s heavy, fractured uncertainties is this one truth: hope remains.

Christ gives us all endless reasons to hope, and not only hope but joyfully hope in a hope that is LIVING. We pray this year as we steward the gift of another soul to raise that that one truth shines most bright… though loss, sickness and even death at times seem to be gaining ground in this world, the living hope in which we have been born again through Jesus according to God’s great mercy, remains forever. Praise God!

Thank you to everyone who has been there for us through this transitional season and who have deeply shifted our perspective on what it means to live a life to the glory of His grace. We are so blessed by our incredible families, friends and beloved Church.

Welcome to this crazy beautiful world, baby Lovette!

We have prayed for another addition to our little family for over a year and I remember every month or so feeling those rollercoaster emotions when every test I took came back negative… until October! I took one the morning after Andrew had just come back from a trip and was COMPLETELY surprised that our prayer had finally been answered. I hid the news from him all day until I felt like I was going to burst… then Jack and I told him via a whiteboard drawing (of a painted rainbow) the same afternoon. We laughed and cried and talked for hours about God’s goodness and provision. We are beaming at this gift and cannot wait to see what’s in store for our sweet family of four!

I know that You can do all things,And that no plan is impossible for You… I will ask You, and You instruct me. I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear; But now my eye sees You; Therefore I retract, And I repent.
